The Zolla Boys

The Zolla Boys are a family bluegrass band from Torrington, Connecticut.  The band consists of 13 and 14-year-old brothers Sam and Ben on mandolin and guitar,  and their father Larry playing bass.  On-line lessons, late night festival jams, and instruction from their dad have all helped in developing  the Boys' signature sound,  and they are proud to be a part of the fabulous bluegrass community.  The Zolla Boys have played many different venues and festivals, including being featured on the Emerging Artist Stage at Grey fox Bluegrass Festival in Oak Hill, NY. Fiddlin’ Quinn and His Big Folks Band

Quinn Eastburn, age 9, " is a great natural musician, and has a startling ability to tear it up on the fiddle." --Darol Anger.  Along with His Big Folks Band he has performed at numerous festivals and events.  He co-arranged and performs “The Bluegrass Concerto for Little Fiddle” which will be a feature of his Joe Val appearance.  The Boston Globe says “Quinn Eastburn plays a mean fiddle...!”  His Big Folks Band is Chris Eastburn (G), Tim Fiehler (B, Ricky Mier (Bj)) and David Chernack (M). Honky Tonk Masquerade

Demolition String Band

NYC/Hoboken NJ Elena and Boo lead their Demolition String Band across some less-travelled highways and byways of the Americana, Bluegrass and Folk music panorama. Mixing their own original material with the traditional and the not-so-traditional, they offer soulful duet harmonies, rustic string playing and their own imaginative and entertaining flair for recasting a far-flung song that, though you never saw it coming,  goes home with you. Demolition String Band has toured the U.S. and Europe sharing bills with acts like The Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, Joan Osborne, Ricky Skaggs, Southern Culture On The Skids, Roger McGuinn, and many others. Cold Chocolate

Cold Chocolate is creating an exciting, unique new sound of Americana: fusing bluegrass and roots with a dash of funk. Guitarist/ songwriter Ethan Robbins began his bluegrass career at Oberlin College where he and upright bassist Kirsten Lamb began to explore how this hard-driving fast-paced genre could be stretched.
