BBU Presents Fall Jam’n Weekend

Colonial Inn 48 Monument Square, Concord, MA

Jam’n Coming Your Way! The Boston Bluegrass Union is pleased to present Fall Jam’n Weekend 2015 November 20-22, 2015 at the historic Colonial Inn in Concord,MA. Jam all weekend long or attend instructor-led jams and free workshops (with your paid registration). The Fall Jam'n Weekend will be dedicated to bluegrass! All jammers welcome at any level, from beginner to advanced. You can pick around the clock within the beautiful historic spaces of the Colonial Inn.The Spring Jam'n Weekend will begin Friday at 5 pm with 24-hour jamming through Sunday at 1 pm. There will also be workshops in banjo, fiddle, mandolin, singing, etc. for different levels and instructor-led Directed Slow Jams for beginners. We are looking for volunteers to help us out at Fall Jam'n 2015, and you can get a free pass for helping out. BBU Showcase at the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Assoc) Conference

The Boston Bluegrass Union, Lonely Heartstring Band, and Mile Twelve are thrilled to be sponsoring two After-Hours Showcases at IBMA's 2017 World of Bluegrass in Raleigh, NC.  The showcases will be held at the Raleigh Marriott City Center on Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28. Blue Highway with Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass

Highly esteemed bluegrass band Blue Highway has earned a collective 27 IBMA Awards, 6 SPBGMA Awards, one Dove Award, plus three Grammy nominations as a band, in addition to two prestigious Grammy Awards among its current members. Blue Highway's newly released album "Original Traditional"  is nominated for a 2017 GRAMMY Award for Best Bluegrass Album.   The band was voted the Favorite Bluegrass Artist of All Time by the readers of Bluegrass Today in April 2016. Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass have emerged as leaders in the traditional bluegrass world. Their album, The Room Over Mine, earned accolades and significant chart action, and the song, “Don’t Throw Mama’s Flowers Away” won the 2009 IBMA Award for Song of the Year and have garnered several IBMA nominations for Emerging Artist of The Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year. Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass are a national and international touring band who frequently get invited for return engagements.
