Bluegrass Gospel Project alums Taylor Armerding, Andy Greene, and Kirk Lord have come together to present original, time-honored, and contemporary Americana music to venues throughout New England. Barnstar! began as the brainchild of Zachariah Hickman (bassist for Josh Ritter, musical director for Ray Lamontagne) for a local bluegrass supergroup featuring some of Boston’s best musicians and songwriters. Using the familiar tools of the genre—guitar (Mark Erelli), fiddle (Jake Armerding), mandolin (Taylor Armerding) and banjo (Charlie Rose)—Barnstar! forges its own brand of song- based bluegrass, gloriously harmonized and raucously played.

David Peterson is a unique performer, whose passion for traditional music is matched by his powerful and authentic voice and guitar playing. He has released several acclaimed albums, including traditional bluegrass, country music, and bluegrass gospel. Many of music’s biggest stars relish the opportunity to play this traditional music with him, including the likes of Sam Bush, David Grisman, Stuart Duncan, Paul Franklin, Dennis Crouch, Charlie Cushman, Michael Cleveland, and Bryan Sutton.  

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present an evening of contemporary bluegrass and folk music with The Lonely Heartstring Band and The Stockwell Brothers at Next Stage on Saturday, November 24 at 7:30 pm. he "Christmas In New England" Concert Tour will kick off its 15th season this December. The 2018 Christmas Concert Tour will include a total of five concerts in three states (NH, MA, CT).
