David Davis and the Warrior River Boys

David Davis and the Warrior River Boys have been performing traditional bluegrass for over thirty years.  An Alabama native and member of the Alabama Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame, David Davis is the frontman for the group and is an accomplished practitioner of the Bill Monroe mandolin technique. Since forming in 2009, Nashville- based string band Della Mae has established a reputation as a charismatic live act comprising of some of the finest players in bluegrass, Americana and beyond.   Each member brings distinct elements that make Della Mae such a beloved band. Together they have a completely original style: sensitive yet assertive, intense yet playful, steeped in tradition yet undeniably current. Versatile instrumentalists and vocalists, they draw from a bottomless well of roots influences to create a vibrant original music that conveys expansive musical vision. Belleville Roots Music Series presents Tony Trischka in a Deep Dive Earl Scruggs Show Featuring Michael Daves on vocals and guitar, Maddie Witler on mandolin, Brittany Haas on fiddle, and Jared Engel on bass. Banjo master, composer, and instructor, Tony Trischka, has created the Deep Dive Earl Scruggs Show as a tribute to the man who inspired him to take up the banjo, Earl Scruggs. One of the most influential banjo players in the roots music world, Tony Trischka has achieved legendary status in his 50+ years as a consummate artist. He's inspired generations of acoustic musicians with his technical and conceptual advances, and opened the way for such players as Béla Fleck, Alison Brown, and Noam Pikelny. His seventeen solo albums are part of every banjo-lover's musical reference.
