On Saturday, February 25th, Joe K. Walsh – the uber-talented Berklee Professor, former mandolinist for The Gibson Brothers, and founding member of Mr. Sun – will be performing at Lily P’s Fried Chicken & Oysters in Cambridge, MA. Lily P’s is the new home for Bluegrass Tuesdays, and the long-running weekly bluegrass series has now expanded to include some Saturdays. Joe will be joined by some of the most talented and finest people you can imagine – Lincoln Meyers on guitar, Steve Roy on bass, and Ella Jordan on fiddle!

This will be our second Saturday Night Concert and just like Tuesdays, it’s going to be a Pass-the-Boot show with no cover charge and a requested donation of $20. Please bring your instruments and join a jam after the show (both on stage and off). Joe K. Walsh & Friends play from 7 until 9 pm and the jamming goes from 9 until closing time (probably around midnight or later).

To get a feel for this Saturday’s show, please check out this article (https://bluegrasstoday.com/danny-paisley-the-southern-grass-in-cambridge-ma/) about our first-ever Saturday Night Concert featuring Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass co-sponsored by the premiere bluegrass organization in the region, the Boston Bluegrass Union.

And in addition to this Saturday’s show with Joe K. Walsh & Friends, we also have Mike Compton & Joe Newberry on March 11th, and The Foreign Landers on March 18th. Please check out our website (https://bluegrasstuesdays.com/) for a list of upcoming bands on both Saturdays and Tuesdays.

This show will share some things in common with Bluegrass Tuesdays, while some things will be a little bit different. Here are a bunch of details to consider if you’re thinking about joining us:

— There is unlimited FREE garage parking (with no purchase required) but you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the parking details listed below.

— Joe K. Walsh & Friends will be playing from 7 until 9 pm with a brief intermission between their sets.

— Just like Tuesdays, it’s going to be a Pass-the-Boot show with no cover charge, and the requested donation will be $20.

— There will be jamming all over the restaurant (and beyond) after the show; there are basically unlimited jamming locations throughout the building (beyond the restaurant which has just a few).

— After-show jamming will go on as long as people are around to jam, but a typical Tuesday night at Lily P’s goes until well after midnight.

— There will also be a Third Set Jam on stage starting around 9:15 or so, just like we do every week at Bluegrass Tuesdays.
