Ashokan Center Bluegrass Camp

Greetings all! The Ashokan Center in NY’s Hudson Valley will host a Bluegrass Camp Aug. 8-12. Kimber Ludiker hosts a week of bluegrass instruction and jamming for guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, bass, vocals and songwriting. Staff includes: Casey Campbell, Greg Cahill, Vickie Vaughn, Grant Gordy and your host Kimber Ludiker! Plus, jambassador, Tessa Schwartz. Camping, lodging and dining available. Caleb Klauder & Reeb Willms Country Band

WhoGrass A chronological journey of The Who’s legendary catalog through the wood and wire of bluegrass instrumentation. Framed as a follow-up to The HillBenders 2015 acoustic interpretation of The Who’s TOMMY, WhoGrass now gives audiences a high-energy acoustic twist on the catalog of one of Rock ’n’ Roll’s greatest bands. From the early hits all the way through The Who’s discography, and even a peek into Pete Townshend’s solo career, the rolling banjo, intense dobro percussion, and thunderous vocals have the biggest Who fans pumping their fists and singing along!

Tuftonboro Country, Bluegrass and Gospel Jam session

The weekly Tuftonboro Country, Bluegrass & Gospel Music Jam Session continues at the historic Old White Church of Center Tuftonboro every Tuesday from 6:30 until about 9:30 pm.  Fans of country, bluegrass and gospel music are invited to enjoy an evening of music. There is no admission charge, a donation is requested to help cover operational expenses.  The Church is located on Route 109A, just across from the Tuftonboro General Store & Post Office.  Everyone is invited to attend the jam session while enjoying cookies and a cup of coffee.  For more info call Joe at 569-3861.

This year at FCCP we are excited to host the Appalachian Road Show who just took home Instrumental Group of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2021 IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Awards. Members of the band have won a number of Grammy awards as well as IBMA awards, and they have been a big part of the bluegrass scene for decades. Appalachian Road Show is a visionary acoustic ensemble, bringing new-generation interpretations of traditional Americana, bluegrass, and folk songs, as well as offering innovative original music, all presented with a common thread tied directly to the heart of the Appalachian regions of the United States. Profit from this show goes toward the repairs and preservation of our historic church.
