Festival Hotel
The Sheraton Framingham is located at 1657 Worcester Rd. in Framingham, MA 01701, and is only 20 minutes west of downtown Boston.
All hotel rooms at the Sheraton Hotel are reserved in an online first-come, first-served ticket process.
For 2020, hotel rooms at the Sheraton will be $118 per night for up to four people per room, plus applicable taxes. Parking at the hotel is free. Remember, Monday after the festival is a holiday, so stick around Sunday night – we have reserved the 1st and 2nd floors for jamming on Sunday night too.
NOTE: The “land rush” for Joe Val hotel rooms will happen at 7 PM on Nov 19. To try for a room at the Sheraton, go to the BBU ticketing page, https://bbu.wildapricot.org , and look at the Event list. Log in using your membership account, then Click on “Hotel Room – Picking – Includes one Joe Val festival ticket – 2020” to try for a picking room, and “Hotel Room – Non-Picking – includes one Joe Val festival ticket – 2020” to try for a room on a quiet floor. Watch for the Register button to appear at 7 PM (refresh the page often to see it). If your attempt succeeds, you will have purchased one weekend ticket to the festival, and the hotel will call you in the next few weeks to arrange your reservation. If your choice is sold out, you will be offered the Wait List. Some, but not all, of the people on the Wait List will eventually get a hotel room at the Sheraton. You will not be charged for a weekend ticket if you are on the Wait List. To purchase additional tickets, use “The 35th Joe Val Bluegrass Festival tickets” event.
You cannot make hotel reservations in advance directly through the hotel, or through the mail.
Early Hotel Check In – We’ve made arrangements with the Sheraton for early check in’s beginning at Noon on Friday. Beat the rush and get the weekend started early. You can also extend your weekend by sticking around for Sunday night at the Sheraton. Same low rate for a Sunday night stay. A reminder that Monday is a holiday.
For those that don’t get rooms at the Sheraton Framingham, we typically negotiate limited numbers of discounts for reserved rooms at our convenient, overflow hotels (see info to the right)..

Overflow Hotels
As in the past, we have reserved a limited number of rooms at nearby hotels (since the Sheraton always sells out quickly).
“Two years ago, I wasn’t able to get a room, so I booked one (three, actually, for the whole family) at one of the overflow hotels. I was disappointed that I wasn’t at the main hotel–at first–but it actually worked out well. There was picking in the other hotel (and as more people choose this option, you can expect more). The other hotel rooms were much larger, complete with a full kitchen and a living room. They served a free breakfast every morning (not available at the Sheraton). And taking a taxi to the Sheraton cost $4, no matter how many people we wanted to squeeze into the car and no matter what time.
So don’t write off the festival if you can’t stay at the Sheraton. Give one of the overflow hotels a chance.”
Natick Courtyard By Marriott
This fine hotel is located about 10 minutes away, close to the Natick shopping mall. We have negotiated a 2020 rate of $109 per night plus tax, 2 queen beds.
Rates include Bistro Breakfast and picking rooms are available.

Residence Inn by Marriott
Is located just minutes away from our festival. Part of the hotel has been fully renovated along with the lobby and it should make great acoustics for players and pickers. We’ve negotiated a rate of:
$119.00 one bedroom suite plus tax
$179.00 two bedroom suite plus tax
Rates include a complimentary hot breakfast served daily
The cut off date is Jan 14, 2020
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, early departure fee, and “no show” charges, all must be made by 4pm one day prior. Check in time is 3pm and check out is 12 noon
