Kids Jams in Brookline
Our monthly jams are open
to all school-age kids, through high school, of all levels of
experience. Kids receive group instruction as well as an opportunity
to participate in a musical community. Some of our regulars are
pretty good players -- and they're welcoming to newcomers, whether
beginners or more experienced. The jams are hosted by the kids'
parents, and led by experienced, patient and professional educators.
There is no fee for the
Kids Jam. The Jam is an outreach program of the Boston Bluegrass
Union, and is supported by the BBU and your donations.
Please join us!
Repertoire
Kids will learn the tunes most
often played at jam sessions, as well as skills for leading songs
and participating in a group. New members might consider learning
any of the following tunes:
